GM S3 100oct tune: meth instead of race gas?
for those of you runnng gm stage 3 i will attempt to run the 100 oct tune on meth inj instead of race gas... as you all know to much timing equals detination or knock and the gm ecm switches back to 93 oct once essesive knock is detected... has anyone tried this??? the meth being inj will be approx 120 octane...
you spraying straight meth?
Im not too keen when it comes to the stage 3 computer.
But a member here named Roel SS tried it with little to no sucess. If hes still around maybe hell chime in, or you can pm him.

ais trunk mount
ok. well that sounds like its plenty high enough to reduce knock so that the ecu stays in the more aggressive tune?

It has a boiling point of 64.7*C or about 147* F
heres an example of a problem...
heres an example of a problem...
I run a 50/50 H20 and Meth mix, and for the second summer I'm having occasional issues with boiling line fluid causing the pressure pump to cavitate. It happens when it is is ubber hot outside (105+) and the underhood temps skyrocket.
The only reason I'm posting this is as a heads-up to anyone running straight meth, which has an even lower boiling point than my mix. If you don't have a failsafe and/or a primer pump to keep the feeder line under pressure, be careful when it is really hot outside - your pump may not be able to get any juice to the injector.
Note - this problem increases with altitude. Beware
