The motegi Sp5's

okey guy i have read this before from another member and im saying it again
the motegi sp5 wont fit the cobalt ss without a spacer coz its going to rub with the caliper i bought mine coz it said it will fit but i ended up buying calipers , the other member on here who had to drill holes that is wrong tuner lug nuts will work perfectly and that what i use now.
i really do not recommend them to anyone becasue of the spacer problem but as the way they look they are one of the nicest rims ive seen
i really wished they were the right offset but what can i do
i have to live with it
let me know who has these rims

fyi wheel spacers can be VERY dangerous.
watch out, many tire places wont work on them, they can cause wheel offs and mess up the lug holes on those nice motegi's

I hate to keep this thread alive, but I'm interested in getting these wheels. Would I have any trouble fitting these on my 2006 Cobalt SS 2.4L? I keep reading about them rubbing with the caliper.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

how badly are they touching? if its not alot, you could always take a grinder to the caliper and take a little off

ok i have the answer... i had both the staggered set and the non staggered set... The staggered set doesnt touch the caliper... the non does... you best bet is not a spacer... u can use a spacer only if its hubcentric to hold the wheel right, even then a spacer is not ur best option, your best option is a adapter... A wheel adapter is more pricey and should be custom made... you have to search your area to find a company to make it, for the wheel and the hub of the car

ok so the staggered look fits for the 18's.... anyone know for the 19's? (still not sure which i want)

and venomSS said he had the non-staggered ones and they fit fine... im not trying to be a douchebag or anything here i just wanna make sure about everything before i go spending hundreds of dollars. now, with the staggered is it a different wheel width or what..... im no expert (yet). i know the lip is a different size and everything

Look for something else. There are MUCH nicer 5 spoke wheels out there IMO.
