Talking Look what came in the mail!!!!!!!

I got my Vibrant header/downpipe combo today!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited. I can't wait to put it on!!! I've been holding off putting on my GMPP exhaust b/c I wanted to do everything at once. I'm really looking forward to putting everything on and hearing how it sounds.

I've read around that the header/dp and especially the exhaust isn't that hard to put on (other than cutting it), so I assume this is true? I'd really like to do it myself instead of paying some ridiculous price at a stealership/shop. So hey, if anyone from the NJ area wants to come spend a day working on a Cobalt, let me know!!!

Pics... Enjoy

the whole "shabang..." (currently adding HP to my hallway and bedroom haha)

Congratz man. Installing those items is not very difficult. I have done a couple myself on cobalts and its not very hard at all.

That **** is a-ma-zing! What's even cooler is you're adding it all at once, so you'll notice the big difference.

Awesome, I'm looking forward to feeling some gains from it, and more importantly, the sound. I was going to just put on the GMPP but then I was thinking about it on here one day and I figured I might as well go for the whole thing.

Dont be afraid man.... Just take out the top bolts before jacking up the car. Then get it as high as you can and have fun

This is pretty much my first time ever "working on a car". I've got the basic knowledge stuff to guide me haha. I'm still looking forward to it though.
Should I buy a new gasket for it?

It was 15 degrees out when I decided it was time to put it on!

PFT! 1/4 inch drive, about 14 inches worth of extensions, and a universal and the bolts are easy to get to. I did all of mine from underneath.

The gasket is a double sides steel gasket, I re-used mine with no problems on my 2 cars and the few I've done.

You just reuse the stock gasket.

Sooo, you get this super fancy header and downpipe... and hook it to a 2.25" exhaust system! Am I the only one that sees the problem with this!

It will be nice to see if you have any fitment issues when you go to install it all. I am looking at the set up.
