GM Just released the Third Edition Ecotec Build book.
Yes it looks like the second edition, but very different on the inside.
I have it up on my GMTechbooks site for sale. link (http://www.gmtechbooks.com/build.html#88958728)

I have the first edition and it is for knowledgable engine builders -- doesn't provide basic engine rebuild info. The chapters show what is needed to build increasing horsepower but it doesn't go into enough detail for the average "joe" or "Jane" to do it. For example it lists performance cams but these are for earlier non-ECU Ecotecs (cavi). You can't slap in a set of GM performance cams and expect a Cobalt 2.2 to work with them. Hopefully the 3rd edition has more information on the Cobalt engines.
