Magnaflow + Catless DP

I searched around and couldn't find anything on the combination I have. I have a cat-back Magnaflow and Stage 2. I am looking to get a bit more noise but nothing ricey. I know it's hard to get a deep sound due to the air displacement in a 2.0. So the only thing I can think of is a catless DP. I was wanting any sound/video clips of a magnaflow catback with a catless DP. Anything is helpful. And yes I am aware there are already 200000 threads on this, but nothing with my set-up from what I saw. Thanks

Would there be a sound difference between a gutted stock DP and a ZZP catless DP?

Yea, I like my cat on my exhaust, I am hesitant to remove the one on my DP thought because I don't want it to be ricey or ridiculously loud.

If it's a deep sound I would be happy. But if it sounds like an eclipse with a 6" exhaust tip then forget it. I want it to sound intimidating. Any opinions?

I am running a megan system with no cat just a 3" straight pipe...noticeably louder but at higher rpms it kinda sounds like poo because of running the stock header and there is nothing to restrict the flow. But it does not sound ricey and is louder than hell!!! At idle it is louder than anything I have herd in a while.

Hrm, well that's no cat on your exhaust and stock DP. I would be running a cat-back magnaflow and zzp DP with no cat or something similar. I need to know what that would sound like.

if you go catless, face it...we are 4 cylinders-we will have some raspiness. adding an extra resonator when catless will help out making the tone deeper though. this might be an option for you.

Agree with that...it will be a lil raspy no matter what you do....

If you want to eliminate your cat but not to raspy of a noise then pur a resonator (i think Flowpro makes a good one) inline with the downpipe. I think the flowpro resonator offers no restriction at all and quites it down a TON.

So the best option for a deeper/less raspy noise is to go with a no cat DP with a resonator? Mmk. Thanks guys

I am wanting to buy an exhaust and i was set on the gmpp touring because i DO NOT want anything thats atrociously loud. I want to hear it a little more than stock. I like the stock sound i just want the volume turned up just a little. I have decided against the gmpp touring however because everyone says the 2.25" is no good.

So now I am thinking magnaflow. Who has it? Who likes it? Who hates it?

Is it loud, is it annoying driving normally (down the interstate on a long trip). Any information and opinions please!!!!

Corsa Touring or Magnaflow would be your best bet.

Not sure, but Modern Performance and TurboTech Racing both have it for $549.99, IIRC.
They're also both supporting vendors of the site and are top-notch!

The GMPP touring sounds awesome. If your done dropping pulley sizes and are keeping your stock DP then the GMPP isnt going to hinder you much if at all being 2.25'' . I doubt the difference in hp between a stage 2-2.9 car with 2.25 and 2.5 is hardly anything to write home about.
