Some problems.

ok its an 06 SS 2.4L AUTO not under warrenty and ive got a CEL which is the Fuel trim one i believe. also its showing a check airbag light and flashes and dings at me every time i start the car, and when someones sitting in the passenger seat the air bag still says OFF. And randomly the little no traction control light will come on for a random amount of time then go off.
looking for answers/help in fixing these problems.

Hmm I too just started having this problem. Came on on my first drive the other day when I got back from Florida. My CEL comes on all the time because of my intake, but I was not expecting to see the airbag light come on with a message in the DIC saying "service air bag". I am very curious to know what the problem is. Don't really care for the Chevy dealer in town as they were very rude to my fiance so it may be a while before I get this checked out. Anyone know anything?

It might be your passenger presence sensor or module going bad. We've replaced a bunch of them on various cars. Here's a pic of the parts I'm refering to. They are the ones highlighted in blue. You get all 3 pieces in 1 part number.

the T/C light coming on and off is a known issue with the auto 2.4l. It's even in the damn manual that it will glitch sometimes. It says to restart the car to clear it up.

As far as the airbag indicator, I've never seen that problem.

But I get a CEL from my intake all the time too. Needs a good tune to clear that nonsense up.

Naw mine wouldn't be the passenger air bad presence monitor going bad because mine is an '05 and did not have that indicator. It comes and goes and isn't bothering me. I'm ignoring it just like I ignore the CEL for my intake. I was just inquiring if there was a known issue of this.

Thank You.

there are lots of things that could cause a fuel trim lean condition, such as bad gas, to low gas level, to bad pressure regulator to dying fuel pump, to carbon build up on the throttle body, also vacuum leaks, there is a reprogram for the 2.0lsj and the 2.2 l61 for a false fuel trim lean code. oh there are some causes where the dipstick is not pushed all the way in which will draw air into the engine unmetered.

The driver information center (DIC) displays the ICE POSSIBLE message when the outside air temperature drops below 2°C (36°F). When the temperature rises above 5.5°C (42°F), the ICE POSSIBLE message turns OFF.

so your sensor or the BCM could be inoperative, get it checked by your dealer

I also received the "service airbag" message, i think it might be the sensor because it was right after I had a large person in the passenger seat.

WHOO! got it fixed. finally drove me totally crazy so i just started lookin around under the seat and noticed a bundle of wires with the black tape all tore up. sure enough one of the wires in the bundle was broken. fixed it all up and now no more airbag light it looked like it got moved a little and was rubbing when people were moving the seat up and down to crawl outta the back seat. so anyone with "service airbag" on the DIC check the wires under there.

I checked it out the other night and I had the same problem. I repaired the area with the tear right around the black tape and I repositioned it with zip ties so it cant get torn again. Also had to replace a fuse.
