Hurst feels sloppy...

Hey guys ive had my hurst shifter for awhile, and I had my buddy at a shop install it, unfortunately he's no longer there (no longer in calgary ) and after awhile it just feels sluggish to put into the gears, the reverse lockout is no longer needed, and just seems over all a big sloppy.

If i took some pictures of my shifter with the boot off and cup holder off would anybody be able to give me some pointers? Im sorta car-tech stupid and this is my first "project car" - would pictures of this help out?

let me know please and thank you!

When you pull all of that stuff off. Have a look at where the shifter cables attach to the shifter and see if one of the bushings has come loose or something like that. If the cables aren't firmly attached to the shifter, that is where the play is coming from. Also check the bolts that attach the actual shifter assembly to the floor.

Comparing my right cable to the "install thread" - https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...ighlight=Hurst , it looks like the white clamp has shifted to the left! how do i fix this? (again im a tech-retard lol)
