Sometimes you just appreciate your car...
Sometimes you just appreciate your car...
So tonight I went to a show where some local bands played back in my small ass hometown.
After the show around 11pm I was feeling hungry so I met up with one of my friends and we went to this plaza to wait for some more people to show up.
We get to this plaza (glenwood plaza), half of it is currently vacant, and all the other stores had closed for the night leaving only the movie theater open with a handful of people leaving every 30 mins or so.
We pull in and I tell my friend to get in my car cause I'm gonna take him for a quick ride.
I have a DC sports strut bar, TQ Forward rear stabilizer, Eibach Sportlines, and Blizzak REVO 1's, so my car quite literally handles like a gokart in the snow. I was powersliding around lightpoles, and through the plaza's main strip section that was all closed and/or vacant.
I've gotten it down to the point where i can come within 10-20inches of objects that i'm sliding around.
Here's a satelite picture of the parking lot:

The blue area marked off is all limits of where I was driving due to an occasional car leaving the movie theater. There were no other cars in the blue area except for two Rent-A-Center trucks parked back-to-back in the middle.
The green lines represent the "track" I was using for the most part.
I was giving my friends rides and I was out there for over an hour.
People were leaving the movies and a bunch of them (10-20) actually stopped to watch and cheer me on as i drove around all the different obstacles.
A few times, other cars came to join me, a Chevy Malibu, Dodge Stratus, and a Ford F150 stopped at different times and messed around for a few.
Nights like these are going to make me miss my car next year when I turn it in
If there's more snow tomorrow, I plan on returning and getting some videos. I seriously surprise myself with my driving.

Haha, I have never ONCE miscalculated or hit something screwing around with my car.
I have come close, but I have yet to lose my calm or my control
Yeah I know, it was nuts! I felt like a rally-x driver doing practice laps, hhaaha

You sound waaaaay too cocky man... all it takes is something... ANYTHING to happen and you could seriously do some damage, and I think it's pretty stupid to do this with someone else in the car. I don't care how confident you are in your car, snow and ice make for very unpredictable driving situations.
Holy hell... siverSS speaks with a bit of humanity... never heard of such a thing lol... jk man

Not to be the guy telling you why shouldent have fun, but i know a guy who died in march of 05, dooing exactally what you were describing going sideways into a pole @ 35mph. Im not saying not to do it just letting you know the risk is definantly there.
