When to take your winter tires off..

I'm really itching to put my summer tires back on, but I know if I do, we'll get sacked with a vicious freakin' snow storm the next week.

When does everyone usually make the swap back?

Heres my take:

I never took my 19"s off for the winter.

Potholes....go around them. Salt.....wash it off.

Man up.

I'd say take them off April 1st...usually most snow fall is over by then.

Thing is, my work depends on me getting there, come hell or high water (or sleet and snow) so I have to have a dedicated tire that will get me there. Hence my 16" steelies with Wintersport M3s :p I think I'll leave 'em on for another two weeks and then risk it.

I'll be taking mine off around the 20th of March while I'm home for Spring Break.

I just better get back to college ok... Last year we had a major blizzard right after Spring Break.

I also can't wait to give my car a NICE wash while I'm home. Enough of the once every couple week auto-car wash trip.
