4/19/08 Houston TX Rollout to the GMBash!
Houston rollout to the GM Bash...
Date: Saturday April 19th
Location: Academy parking lot at the intersection of 290 and 1960/hwy6
Pre Meet Time: 6:30am
Rollout: 7:30am
'GMofHouston' will be having a pre meet the morning of the GM Lonestar Bash. We're meeting at the Academy parking lot at the 290 and 1960 intersection. There is a Chevron there for gas and a McDonalds for breakfast. We'd like people to start showing up around 6:30am. We will roll out at 7:30am. This will give us 3.5 hours to get to Temple Raceway. We'd like as many Houston residents to join us for this fun pre meet and cruise. Start spreading the word in your neck of the woods... Houston, Galveston, Spring, Katy, Kingwood, Baytown, etc...
rules for the pre meet and cruise
The rules are simple. Respect each other. Respect private property. Throw your trash where it belongs. Obey all speed limit signs and traffic signs. We are 'caravaning' to the show, meaning there will be one car leading the herd. Stay behind this car. Once you break formation people will get separated and potentially get lost. We'll discuss all the details that morning. ;D
So far the list of people going is at about 8 but it will most likely end up being at least 15 to 20. Let me know if you are down for a Houston cruise
If you would like to compete in the show please visit the original GM Bash thread and send in your payment. If you do not have a paypal account please contact me and I can send the payment for you. I think you can mail your payment in too. My email is houstontexan34@yahoo.com

Not sure if I'm the Mike already on the list, but I found out today I can definitely go! I'll be sending my money soon once I decide if I'm going to show my car or not. My car looks showroom stock except for the Borla tip peeking out from under the bumper. The rest of my mods are under the hood, lol.
My local team now has a forum. You guys are welcome to sign up. It'll help us plan local events with other GM sport compacts.

Hey everyone, long time. I'm down for this. Where is the bash at? Also, does any one know if there is a GM dyno tuner in town? I'm ready to throw some more goodies on my car but get it dyno tuned at the same time.
2 Houston deltas and 3 jbodies are registered for the show and I'm working on getting a couple of kappas registered also.
Dont miss out guys. It only happens once a year. This is THE biggest GM sport compact event in Texas
well so far more people are registered from houston than last year i believe...and centex is much larger than last year..havnt gotten SAs in yet but as long as dallas makes the good showing like they did last time it should be even bigger
..still waiting on dallas though

werd, last year only Derrick with the red Cavy competed in the show, and there were a total of 3 cars from Houston in attendance. This year we finally got our team coordinated and well informed so we are going to have a few more participants than last year lol
