Looks like its the week of my finals, too bad. Would be nice to meet some other auto-x/road course guys, especially Powell, in person.

I have yet to go throughout my years on this forum despite being so close. I think the main reason is that I can hardly stand some of the high school Cobalt owners around me and don't want to think what an entire meet of them would be like
Looking into it now though, thanks for the heads up.

MSCC/DCSCC Schoolcraft event (6/1/2014)
Another 1st place at the event yesterday. Faster course but still had some technical sections. More people were registered for my class but it ended up being myself and two others.
1st in TDSP by 3 seconds and 18th overall out of 99 cars.
It was fun playing around with the XXX rear sway bar on this nice surface, unfortunately my tires started to overheat (I think) on my last two runs and they were garbage.

It would be awesome to set something up again where there were a few Cobalts at an autocross. Would you be willing to go to a Chicago region event later this year? I'm not sure exactly how far that would be for you.

Depends on location along with the time/date. How far away are you from Toledo? If the NWORSCCA has another event there, I might make it. You don't get as many runs but they always have a great setup.

Thats something I'll be looking into next year. Need to replace struts/shocks and get some Powell CAB's and sway bar end links first.

Yeah that would be a drive for you. I'll see if I can maybe make it out to a Chicago event, do you have a link to future event information?

Took down a lot of porsches and some really high dollar ones(driver mods) with the new dynamics and rs3's. Damn they grip laterally, not as good as I would have hoped in braking though.
Had to actually raise the car with a spacer int he rear 4mm on YYZ V3

SMF is more fun :P
And I agree on the RS3. I ran Hankook R comps last year and was in love, just not with the price. For the price the RS3 works amazing at autox or track days, and will last. Shame this spring has been spent rebuilding my car, otherwise Id love to do a thread like this. maybe next year if i do redline time attack.

I bumped myself up to SMF for the Toledo event. Please do once you get the car out to some events, its always nice to have documented builds to look back in the past at. Something this forum is missing and I had trouble finding some information or setups that worked for people.
How is clearance in the rear/how much tire are you running on your wheels? My Ultraleggeras are +42 offset I believe and it rubs on a 235/40/18 Z2, fronts are fine.

What pads are you gentlemen running? My fronts are getting low so I'm looking into options. Obviously the stock Ferodo 1000's are on the table but if there is something better I'm all ears.

I'm running some wicked Raybestos pads but I'm not sure they would get up to temp fast enough for AutoX. They are crazy good on a road course though.
I ran the stock Brembo pads with Super Blue and never had problems.

Raybestos ST-43? I was talking to Wangspeed about pads for the track and he recommended them also. I concur that they probably won't heat up enough for auto-x.
I've heard mixed reviews about the HPS pads in terms of stopping power. I currently have them in the rear to try and combat the abnormal rotor wear on the TC models.
I'll probably just go with stock Ferodos then. Looked at the options out there and I think I'll be going with the ZZP lines as they look like the best option from a price/value standpoint.
Action shot a friend took from the Silverdome event a few weeks ago.

ZZP lines are $142 plus shipping. Goodridge lines are $168 shipped from Tirerack. I would go with Goodridge.
