probably both - for sure the Grand Am...
I love running down the quarter mile - part of it is seeing how well I can do against my self...
And I am really hoping to get into the 14's with the GA;
The last couple runs I did were in the 15's with crummy DA...
I never yet have had the opportunity to try out my slicks...

Believe it or not, the Grand Am;
I spin and spin and spin at launching;
I have tried launching at a lower rpm, but since it only makes something like 160ft-lbs, it can get well below peak rpm band and hurt my 60';
I bought drag radials, but didn't notice a huge improvement over street tires...
I also have DR's for the cobalt (sig), but I honstly have a little more fun in the GA;
It's alot more finicky, and more of an uphill battle;
I have imposed on myself the following limitations;
- OEM or Oldsmobile "Rocketparts" derived components only
- will remain naturally aspirated
- will retain factory computer, throttlebody, ignition ect
- must appear 100% original
- must be fully functional, fully streetable, and setup so that I can take it on a road trip.
I still would love being able to run 'best of 3' against a stock (or maybe a nearly stock) LSJ;
Keep in mind stock LSJ's were dynoing at or above 205whp (it is estimated that they actually made something more akin to 215-230bhp - while my car is naturally aspirated, nearly twenty-five years old, and factory rated at 180bhp.
Maybe one day
There's no doubting that the cobalt is much faster and I have a thirteen second time slip to prove it - but there's something different about the GA, just like there will be something different about the Firebird - when I finally get going on it.
