so decided on glasspacks

don't know if anyone cares or not seeing as I don't have a cobalt lol but I'm going to have glasspacks installed on my car in the next month or two providing all my bills go as planned and such and someone doesn't claim I owe them millions.

for anyone who does care, the car is a 3.5L aurora with a nice sound to it already I just want a bigger beaffier muscle sound then what it currently has

ive heard nothing bad about them accept they have a drone at highway speeds (2500 rpm).

are we talking about the big name brand of glasspacks itself or cherrybomb versions of it?

I ran two Thrush 24" glasspacks on my 4.3L S10 for about a month until I got my exhaust done. They sounded nice.

too bad they don't make thrush anymore according to the guy I was talking to at the shop anyways or esle he would of tried to sell me those since apperently they gave off an amazing sound but they were made to stop production due to noise issues

well best thing about it is mines a dual exhaust car not a single and it currently already has a beefy sound to it I just want to add more and flowmaster's 40 series do not do this as I know someone with them on the same car and there is barely a difference but performance is there thats for sure

Check Advance Auto. That's where I got mine. I'm not sure if they stopped production. Actually, I'm not sure if you have any Advance's where you are...lol.

you guys know that almost all stight throu mufflers are glasspacks... except for baffled mufflers or stock style mufflers. glass packs(cherry bomb style) are normaly just smaller and have less glass and therefore dont quiet things down as much.

but like all stuffed mufflers they get louder as time goes on, just more so with the smaller glasspacks .

I have flowmasters on my Aurora and they sound great! I prefer them over glasspacks. Get the resonator taken off, put a set of flowmasters on, and get a true CAI. Now you've got some power, and great sound!
