Problems with OTTP
So I have always had problems with OTTP, but this is the most recent problem that I have been having with them.
So this past Black Friday, OTTP was having some pretty awesome sales. first item I picked up from them was OTTP Cobalt Shifter Base Bushings. Through facebook I was begging for a sale on the Duel Interceptor Gauges, I got it. They posted 2 codes(1 for instock items, and 1 for out of stock). I placed my order with the out of stock code($10 less discount). I got the kit for $348.55, shipped with Black SS faceplates, GREAT DEAL!
Get an email from OTTP saying that I owe them more for the order because there site/software didnt charge me enough. Read bellow, I deleted stuff about a second order I was having issues with also, wanna keep this thread mainly about the gauges and communication.
The only issue I have now is the fact that I still "owe $40" for the gauges? Price was $345 a set and I added the black SS face, plus $10 extra for you having to order them, and shipping. I used the code YOU provided and it brought my total to: $348.55 and even so, if the discount code was to much, thats not on me, cause I used the second code you provided on Facebook?
Justin
Justin,
As far as the gauge goes. The price was $389.99 minus $35 for the special order gauge. It was $45 off for the instock ones. Somehow you ordered the gauge with a base price of $349.99 and then took $35 off of that. That is where the $40 extra comes from. Unfortunately I can't honor that price, I would lose $30.
Thanks
Josh
Josh,
As far as the gauges go, I still dont feel that I should be FULLY responsible for paying all that difference. If I were to buy something at a Walk-In store and it was priced to low, and checked out, I would not have to pay the difference, thats on the store for not paying attention to detail-just sayin'
Justin
So 2 weeks goes by with out an update, even though I have messaged them countless times asking for an update. Also saw them online multiple of times posting, but without a response to my emails.
Yesterday I sent them another email to get an update, and finally get a message back from Josh, stating that he is just going to give me a full refund, and that it is getting processed now, and I should see it in 2-3 days. I havent been notified by PayPal stating that a refund is being processed.
So yeah, this is just one of the many stories I have about my interactions with OTTP. I have heard other people also having issues with OTTP.
Thanks
Justin

Also, your order for the aeroforce gauges was wrong, it is $40 short. So you will owe that if this is an order you want to keep. You should also be aware that we normally charge a 10% processing fee on cancelled orders, this covers our time of having to process the order twice and the time of our accountant having to handle the paper work. This amount is fully available to you for 60 days to order the same product again.
Let me know your plans please.
Thanks
Josh

That sucks, ottp was doing alot better til this, id like to hear josh side of the story just so we have both sides but yeah, when u the seller make a mistake like that its on u, now if he decided he cant eat the loss of 30 bucks and cancled ur order then i dont have a huge problem with that but it kinda does leave a bad taste in ones mouth, since it was his fault he has no right to charge u 10% fee for canceling it. Ottp iv been standing up for u latetly but im have to say ur wrong on that one.
Basicly if i was the head of a company id eat the 30 dollar loss then get bad rep over it, if i was selling a single item online then i wouldnt eat the loss and find a new buyer. Difference in being a company and a regular guy sell an item or two.

Even though I would never order anything from OTTP in his defense anytime you order from a website and you get a better price due to a web error they always reserve the right to cancel the order. This goes for Staples, Best Buy, Future shop ETC. He cant charge for canceling the order but he can refuse it if he wishes. He gave you the opportunity to buy it at the sale price and you decided it wasnt low enough.
I still think it is short sighted on his part but you didnt lose anything so he doesnt owe you anything.

Come on guys everybody is human and mistakes happen. It's not like the gauges were shipped to you then he demanded money. Yes I know not a message you want to get saying you got a greater discount than you should have but in madness times like Black Friday it happens. He gave you a full refund which was the right way to go. You shouldn't be charged a restocking fee for something that wasn't your fault. But now it's a wash and carry on. Me personally, I've delt with Josh for many things and the guy does everything he can to help me out every time I need something.
