Redlinegoods review round 2
After purchasung sone redlinegoods goods in the past and having good experiences i gave then another shot!
Last time i got a shiftboot and armrest cover, both of which ere easy to install and fit like gloves.
This time i ordered a steering wheel cover.
They didnt make them for the 05-06 cobalt wheel yet, so when i ordered i did have to wait a good month or two. They had to order a wheel, make a template, etc. No big deal. So now if someone else wants one it should be much less time
I got it in black alacantara, to match the tc seats. The fabric is a really close match, the fibers stand up slightly more. The fabric is a very nice consitancy and quality. It came with enough thread to stitch two wheels.
I thought i could stitch it on myself with the wheel in the car. Boy, was i wrong. After messing with it with the wheel in the car for an hour i gave up and ordered an extra wheel to do it on.
Again, i could not stitch for the life of me
So i went on their site and they had recommendations to send the wheel to people to do it for you. I chose Nora Gonzalez. She offered to do it for 120 shipped back to me, which was an excellent price considering everyone else wanted 300 bucks atleast!
I sent it out (different finish wheel by the way, rubber coated not leather like the ss) (just so yall know the cover works with either style wheel) and within two days after she got it it was on its way back to me.
Aand i just installed it and im quite pleased with the result!
I made a how to, as well, for those looking to do the same
Before
After
Not PERFECT, but really really close! MAYBE, had i sent out my slightly thicker leather wrapped wheel this gap wouldnt be there.
Thats all! Thanks for looking. CSS on!

That steering wheel work is excellent and Nora did brilliant work. It needs the sir bag cover done as well lol. You got me thinking now. My SPARCO redline wheel is already alcantra but my SAAB could stand that treatment. Like. How much ? Email me if you Prefer. Tx

Umm idk lol. It looks to be a little more upwards facing in these pics. But in real life its not noticeable haha.
Thanks. Id def recommend the armrest cover to anyone. Soo much better than the way the armrest is factory

The feel is really pretty great; a little different at first because i realized i'm pulling and scuffing my wrist all over nice fabric so i feel like i gotta be gentler but once i got used to that it's nice. The alacantara feels really good on a steering wheel

Well i tend to keep my hands clean but that's a fair observation. The tc seats get dirty just as easy so really in my case, if i plan on getting dirty i just drive my truck lol. But i keep an extra shirt in the car for emergencies and perhaps i should get a pair of driving mitts
