SRT4 first time in 10s
Not a Cobalt, but still fun to see. Finally hit the track with the new big turbo e85 setup. Owned the car for 11 years and it's finally in the 10's. Currently the fastest/quickest SRT in AZ until someone else steps up.

Thanks guys. And yeah, it has full boost in 1st which is way too harsh. Just spins and makes it hard to grab 2nd gear. Tweak the 2-step and boost and it should work better. Just gotta be careful as this is the only local track, and it's a strict NHRA one. I got kicked out on that pass, after making 3 previous test passes on the brakes so they wouldn't get upset.

Anything below 11.5 needs a certified roll bar (i forget how many points on it, 6?). As well as a fire jacket (just got one, good there). Possibly belts too. Things start to get extreme down there. Drop below 10 seconds and it gets really nuts and expensive. I don't plan to cage my car as it would most likely ruin the nice interior and make the back seats unusable
As for the setup. It's a twinscroll log manifold with a pte5858 on e85. Fully built motor.

I cant run the track tune on the street. 3rd gear blows the tires off, even when i'm running very sticky 235/60/15 drag radials. I actually have a street tune that ramps 3rd gear from about 430hp up to 540hp at the end of the gear. It works surprisingly well.

Awesome man congrats!
NHRA regulations always crack me up. You can't race your street car here unless you meet all our demands! Then they toss you, so where exactly do they think you are going to race after that?

NHRA regulations do seem kinda bogus, but iirc it's a liability thing;
i personally would like to see the rule relaxed for 100% street cars;
IIRC the 2013-2014 is headers and slicks away from being a ten second car...
With the Hellcats becoming more commonplace, you might expect to see that many more street cars in what used to be full-on-drag car territory...
@ OP - congrats!
That is seriously awesome!

I remember when NicD's Camaro ran some ungodly low time there on his low boost setting. I can't remember if he was in the 8's or what. They kicked him out because he needed a parachute, etc and it's not like he was going to go toss that on a street car.
But the freeways are always open.....if you don't get caught.

Just saw this now, very nice work! It would be cool to check your car out next time I'm down there this fall. Seems like a very well put together and thought out setup.
I can see why you spin 3rd with how the tq comes on. My car hooks 3rd on the street 90% of the time on 245/40/17 R888's with stiff rear suspension, but my tq is nowhere near my hp. 625whp/530wtq is the highest I've ran it on the street.
