To the strip this Friday

All,

I have gathered a few friends with modified cars and we are all going to go to the track for test and tune day at a local track to me. I will try to take vids, but I haven't even friggin figured out how to put pictures up yet..

Cars going:
Mine - 09 Cobalt TC basically stock, I may have time to put the downpipe on before we go, other than that... stock.
Eclipse GSX - not entirely sure of the turbo, he just put it on last weekend after his last one gave out, he has a lot of work done to it. 441 whp to all 4 wheels from last dyno.
Mustang GT - Kenne Bell supercharger. 8psi. No tune. Upgraded brakes, blah blah.
GTO (06') - Had a butt load of stuff done to it, cam, intake, etc.
Civic hatch - They might come, has been kinda sketchy about the whole thing but who knows. Unknown mods. (A friend of a friend deal)

That is a pretty big range of cars and it should be right interesting.

I should have more specifics of the car after the track day and I will put them in here along with times and what not. If someone can teach me how to upload vids I may be able to get some vids/pics up.
I am no way looking to "compete" with these cars. I may be able to run with the GT. I am not even going to count the hatch at the moment.. but I will make some runs.. all in having fun. Putting it out there, my first strip run. I have done everything on the street prior to this.. Any tips from experienced strip runners? I don't know the car all that well, had it a week so far, I love it, I am just not use to it yet is all.

LMAO. I figured someone would bite on that. Yeah fellas, apparently that is what he has done. I asked him when he first did it (6-7 months ago) "Who will tune it for you? We live in the sticks." Quote: "I called Kenne Bell and asked about it and they told me I didn't need one, stock ecu program was good enough, unless I went to a different pulley" Me: "Allllrighty then"

I guess we will see. Id hate to see that happen, its a pretty clean stang. Like I said he has had it like that for 6-7 months now no problems. I don't know if he is just getting lucky or what..

This is what I have heard. Wasn't really looking for much gains from it anyway, even with tune.

I havent gotten wheel hop yet. Ive dropped the clutch at 5K atleast 3 times so far and havent experienced wheel hop and thats spinning through 1st, and halfway through 2nd before catching grip. Dude I got it from spent 1500 or so in the front end upgrading from factory spec parts. May have a lot to do with it, not sure. Not an expert on suspension/handling parts. Ive only had old **** anyways (Coil springs, leaf springs) Mostly working on light trucks. Like my Dakota, her beautiful self.

Can't say the same for my cavi, that thing is hopeless when it comes to spinning on take off, feels like I have square wheels. lol

On another note, doesn't look like Friday will happen for me. Eclipse is going out of town, GTO is working, and Mustang keeps telling me his **** aint ready. Civic hatch... lets just say he's MIA. Probably to busy doing upgrades. (Repainting the V-TEC letters on his valve cover)

That's wild man. Hope everything comes back together for you. My tranny is jacked up on my truck now, which I knew it was coming. Have a tranny made for up to 200 HP, and put 380 through it. lol

I actually did end up going. The mustang finally got his **** together and me and him went. It was a 1/8th mile track. Being my first time at the track I didn't do very well. Downpipe and K&N did not ship in yet so I had to go to the strip bone stock. At work right now, I do not know the 60' right off hand I want to say it was 2.5
But my best time was 9.7 with a trap speed of 77 mph.
Mustang was 8.8 at 85 mph.
I had a good time win or lose, after I get the parts on and get a tune, we will try it again and see what outcome we have.
I have 2 videos, 1 with me and the mustang running, and 1 as me doing a single run. It was the tracks test and tune night.
If I want to upload the video to the site, do I have to go to youtube upload it there and then embed it here? Or is there another way?
