Took the 300ZX to the track today
Decided to take the 300ZX to our new 1/8 mile track today. The car isn't "finished" yet as I'm still running the a terrible canned tune and only have my boost at 18psi, I need to tune it and up the boost some. I also very obviously need some drag radials or slicks too. I had to bog on launch or I would get incredible amounts of wheel hop or spinning. I'm happy with the MPH but the ET is weak, mainly due to my 60'. This is my best pass of the day VS my friends tune only Solstice GXP. I'm car 11.

My friend just put up a video of a couple passes. This is from the front bumper of the car from his action cam. I have a few passes I recorded on a phone in a window mount inside the car that I need to upload.
*edit*
My videos. The were filmed in the car when I remember to turn on it on lol. I used a phone and a window mount.

Yeah the 03-06 cars are slower than the 300ZX TT. The 07's and up with the HR motors are about the same level as the TT. Until you turn up the boost lol

Aftermarket is a bit better now than when I started mine. A lot of the stuff on my car is custom made. It's all about figuring out what parts interchange lol. But some companies have stepped up and started offering parts. Still nowhere near other cars though.
The stock turbo is tiny. You can get about 260whp 300+ft/lbs with the stock turbo and fuel system. But if you upgrade the fuel system, ecu and turbo the engine can handle a fair amount of power on stock internals. 450+whp is reliable. There are guys getting 700whp out of them with forged pistons in the stock block with the stock crank.
Mine is mild still with 371whp, my ecu is holding me back at the moment

Took it down the 1/4 mile tonight. Only got 2 passes in. First pass I had to much air in the tires and just spun. 2nd pass was a 12.776 @ 111mph. Almost lost it mid track that pass, scared the **** out of me. The car has way more in it. After that pass I was done for the night
