clutch pipe fitting/clutch pipe leaking

My Cobalt has been sitting for a couple months as I've been working on it and I just got it running the other day. I go to move it and the clutch does not disengage. I notice that the clutch pipe is angled to one side and isn't sitting straight in the hole on top of the trans. I took the metal fitting off, straightened it out, and when i tried to put the fitting back on, the clip wouldnt seat right and the fitting was loose. I believe the clutch pipe is sitting deeper in the hole. I lost all pressure in my clutch pedal and i cant figure out how to pull the clutch pipe straight up so that the clip has a place to set. The seal on the clutch pipe is still there, but i have no seal in the metal fitting and can't remember if there's supposed to be one there.

Sounds like you likely lost the nipple where the clutch pipe meets the elbow (aka distribution block).

Would this also cause back spray into transmission when pumping clutch ??

It will certainly squirt more into the bellhousing when pumping. It's an easy check/fix.
