Yeah if you were driving it. Didn't you say it happened in your driveway?

Keep in mind I'm not a GM tech or anything but I'm pretty experienced with SS s/c problems lol.

Pm John Powell and see what he says. He's one of the few I trust when it comes to diagnosing these cars...

Get it in the air!
subtract:
-wheels
-brakes
-rotors
-ball joint
-sway bar links
-tie rod ends
-steering shaft bolt
-both trans mounts

Secure the motor from the top
Secure the radiator to the core support! (VERY IMPORTANT STEP)
Subtract:
-upper trans mount
-subframe bolts

Pull subframe
Subtract:
-bell housing bolts

Pull trans

Unclip the VSS
Unclip the reverse switch
Pull the bleeder block from the top of the trans. There is a wire pin, grab it and slowly pull it out. Gently wiggle the block off of the clutch pipe. Slowly! There will be a tiny black rubber tube (about the size of a nerds candy) that is there. Grab that and do not lose it! If you do the system will never seal. Instll the clip you pulled back into the bleeder block because it will just snap on when you go to install it.

vehicle speed sensor

Wow. I cannot believe there is no guide for this.

I will do a comprehensive write up soon for future reference. I just have to write down everything that needs removed because every time we talk I remember another small thing. I am a doer not a teacher haha.

haha yeah man there is no full write up on it; though the build book DID get me through everything last time with getting the engine out and trans off; i'm just deciding what needs to be done and not done this time since i'm only dropping the trans. pretty simple really i shouldnt even be asking stuff lol

Build book, IIRC, does not have instructions for dropping just the transmission out of the bottom.
I can fill that void; done it enough times to lol.

do it mannn haha, i would if i knew enough of what i was doing buut. haha.

but yeah it would be great to have a nice 'on the floor' writeup for dropping the trans. would save many people 700 dollars at the trans shop for sure.

For sure.
Because, honestly, it really is not that hard. The concept of "dropping the transmission onto the floor" is the hardest part to accept lol.

Oh yea, pull the axles and intermediate shaft before you drop the trans. WAY easier.
LNF transmission fluid (OEM GM) is only 19 per quart with free shipping. Cheapest I have ever seen.
