Transmission problem!!

I was on my way home from work tonight, driving along fine. Then i decided to stop in at the local Mcdonalds before i headed home, and when i went to put my car into first its seemed as if there was no first gear at all, but prior to all of this my transmission shifted fine and smooth, so i decided to go into second and it worked, so while i was waiting in the drive through i decided to check all my gears and at this point only 2nd, and 4th worked nothing else, so i quickly got it home and now i dont have any gears at all, but i do have clutch pressure what can it be???

BAsically to sum it all up, i had all 5 gears + reverse and now i have 0 gears and cluctch pressure

check your cables by pulling up on the cup holders. sounds like the cables could have come loose. if its not that then it could be the roll pin

It was the "Roll Pin" otherwise known as a "Tension Pin" for other people, and the size for anyone if they need to know is 3/16 x 1 1/2

ANd the differance in the shifting, i suggest everyone fix this if the transmission feels a little loose

Most likely a roll pin issue

Check your cables underneath your hood and under your cup holders. My secondary cables broke and it wouldn't engage into 2nd, 4th, and reverse.

Roll pin issue. About how long does the roll pin usually last before it needs to be replaced? I bet it depends on the driver... whether you're a damn amateur or not. lol

Exactly right it all depends on the driver and how hard you slam your gears. Dont be out there slaming the **** out of your gears and it prob wont ever break.

Figured I would drudge this back up and make sure this is the same issue I'm having:

I only have gears 3, 4 and reverse. I was driving pretty conservatively and when I went to downshift to two coming into my work parking lot, I noticed my rpms actually went down from 3...realizing I was in fourth. It doesn't matter if I put the car into 1, 2, or 5, it'll either go to the 3, 4 position. This is an '06 SC/SS.
