Southbend slips

After my engine build I put a brand new southbend clutch and pressure plate in. Stage3. I however forgot to get the flywheel resurfaced, but can't imagine it would slip that bad. it's slipping really bad. I have to drive extremely light on the throttle, and I mean extremely light to get it to go. What could it be? Was installed correctly

its partly from or all from not resurfacing the flywheel the new nesk needs a clean smooth finish to wear in on

Gotcha. MrB must have moved it to this section from where it was then.

Turbo cobalt? Why only stage 3? Definitely should have resurfaced or got new one at zzp, very cheap

Yep, I believe ZZP recommends the stage 4 and 4+ for the LNF's.

His clutch is pretty well screwed anyways, so he now has a good excuse to get the correct one. haha

Lsj. And I think my clutch is fine. I drove it down the block. It's not going to ruin a clutch Especially not a heavy duty one. Something just isn't seated right

If the pressure plate wasn't prepped correctly (which is wasn't) you have successfully embedded oil in the disc as a result. Plus, judging from how much slippage you had, there's a good chance you glazed the disc on the flywheel side considering the flywheel never had a fresh surface for the disc to bed to. I wouldn't even consider reinstalling that disc, but that's just me. It aint my car nor a custom's of mine, so I honestly could not care less. Best of luck to you.

Figured out the problem. Slave cylinder broke. depressing the pressure plate. That's why it slipped hard.

Um, ok. Don't see how that would happen, but ok.
