Well since the thread is still current and I don't feel like a necro for going back to Alan's post lol, I have hit KR on my car on E85. On 23 lbs making ~520whp I can run up to about 24* before seeing KR, and on 30-32 lbs at ~600whp anything more than 19* up top is hit or miss with .4* of KR. 9.5:1 2.1L effectively 9.7:1 I guess.

As for false KR from an exh or suspension rattle, that will usually be random or at least vary where it occurs. If it's the same place every time it's probably real. However, I find it hard to believe you're getting KR at your power level unless you're way past MBT.

This just street tuning? Be interesting to see if you're passing mbt. On jons bone stock engine with the 256 at 28 psi MBT was at 22* up top.
Burst/anticipated kr will start high and taper, real kr (as far as the sensor is concerned) will climb. This is with standard settings.

On a side note, how do those 888's do in 2nd when it's normal temps, like 70ish?

They do pretty well. If its nice and hot out like 85-90 it will hook in 2nd on a really nice road on like 22 lbs which is right near 500whp, and even on 30lbs if I pedal it a little bit it will spin, but its not a waste, it still pulls very hard while fighting for traction, its like spinning on slicks, lots of forward motion going on. On high boost in 3rd from like 70 it will try to break loose a little then catch, but if you do a small rolling burnout before you get it on it they stay planted. And going from 2nd to 3rd even on 30 lbs and somewhat chilly weather it will hook as soon as you hit 3rd. They seem to heat up quick when you spin 2nd and then just eat in 3rd. Even yesterday, it was 55-60 out and the pavement was cold from being about 35 the night before and I was out doing pulls. Anything above 25 lbs would spin just a little bit, enough to mess up my logs in 3rd, so I did a rolling 2nd gear burnout on the ebrake quick and then it held 29 lbs in 3rd I am more than happy with them to say the least.

Hmm. That is good news. I imagine that's what I'll be switching to when my 555r's are done. Really want something that can effectively pull double duty for corners and roll racing.
I turned mine up to 22 today. Woah.
