2 12" Prestige subs. Kenwood X500-1 amp?

Wondering if these two will work together. Is there another way I could wire these to achieve lower ohms? Or would I be better off just hooking up one sub for now and save up some money to buy another Kenwood X500-1. I paid almost 700$ for this amp back in 2012 or 2013 so i really dont want to patt with it since it was suh a bg expense...

All help greatly appreciated! This is a good fourm, good to see people still use it.
525 watt peak. DCV 4ohm sub.
Kenwood x500-1. 300W RMS @ 4ohms. 500W RMS @ 2ohms. 1000W max power.
Subs wired @ 8ohms....
Credit to Crutchfield for the photo

If the subs are 4 ohm dvc, you can get 2ohms out of 1 sub or 1 ohm from both, but you can't do 2 ohms for both. The diagram you have is for 2 2ohms dvc subs not 2 4 ohm dvc subs.

ok. Thank you.

it doesn't say but would my amp be capable of handling a 1 ohm load? Would it pound better to have one sub. I was almost thinking about doing something like this: Would be easy to do with some time. Could you use a router on MDF?

Audiovox PSW-12DC Speaker manual Here's the manual for your speakers. It would probably be easier for you to understand if you read this.

Sweet Christmas there really is a manual for these speakers! I have looked through thick and thin. Rice paddys and southern Tennessee unknown junk yards. The moon and the stars. By the power invested upon thy I name you King of Cobaltia and all of its pastures for your horses and LSJ's

you can use a router on MDF also amp on box is last resort... you dont want your amp shaking around all day long more than it needs to

no when i initally saw the pictures i was like damn that came out well. Other than the whole amp on/in the box thing the only thing that i saw as something that could have been done better is painting the exposed MDF. but thats not even a huge deal just slight ascetics

im waiting for warmer weather to paint it and put plexi glass over the hole. I tried when i first made it and it cracked. It may be until may for it to be nice enough to try it and have it work correctly. I had pilot holes in the plexiglass but one broke the corner off and thr others broke when i tried to screw it down to the box

Just remember fans and or ventilation for the amp if you haven't already.
