Antenna Cable. Cant get out of Antenna base...?
Hey Guys,
So I bought a shorty antenna the other day for my 05 SS/SC. I went to take off the antenna mast and it broke the welds on the base (which ive seen this has happened to a lot of others as well)
The mast also snapped off the stud inside of it.... so ive gotta replace the base entirely.
My question is this.... and ive searched thread after thread looking for a good definitive answer... but DOES the antenna cable just pull out of the base? I tried but it didn't seem to budge and I didn't want to break the antenna further.
Do I just rip it out? and will it plug into my new base without any other modification to the cable itself?
Thanks guys

According to GM SI it should pull out but there may be a retaining clip or tab of some sort but it does separate from the base in one form or another. Unfortunately all SI says is to "disconnect cable"

haha... I saw that in SI as well. Unfortunately nowhere does it say in what means to disconnect it. I guess ill give it another go when the part comes in. Thanks!
