I want to hook up my wideband but idk where to qire the white wire from the wideband. I read a how to for an 06 cobalt and he put it with a purple with white stripe wire by the pcm. Others I seen on here dont mention that wire. It is for analog output and idk what that is 😒

Well it depends on the wideband. but you need a hot wire and a ground. You can use "add a fuse" to get the hot wire. the ground can be wired somewhere on the block. Other than that you should be fine. what model wideband?

Its an aem wideband, and both how tos I saw used the aem

Well by hot wire im thinking you mean the red power wire, and ground wpuld be black. And no hpt im gonna get trifecta tuned

Well the analog output will wire into the tuning interface. the power wire you can hook up to an add fuse and the ground to the block. Someone else might be able to explain better

Yea thats sorta what the aem instructions say. How would I go about doing it with trifecta? Lol

it wont hook to trifecta. get hpt tuned if you want an exact afr

So I dont need it for trifecta? .. so I bought it for nothing? I thought I needed it to log. And I will do hpt when I get forged rods and pistons, smaller pulley and bigger injectors

Yes you need it to get tuned but you will have to be telling vince what the afr is and such. With hptuners you can connect it directly into hpt and have it read the info

I tapped the power and ground off the stock boost gauge.

I'm assuming you have the UEGO AEM wideband? I just installed it in my car a while ago. Unless you're logging you can ignore the white and blue wires. They are for logging with HPT. I'm not sure if Trifecta uses it or not but from the previous posts it doesn't look like it. All you should have left is the black and red wires. I tapped a fuse on the passenger side fuse box and grounded to a bolt in the same area. If you do this I recommend extending all the wires. It's a stretch to get to the box for power and while tuning with the signal wires the HPT interface sits on the ground. If you've got any more specific questions I can get you pics tonight (Assuming it is the UEGO gauge).

Yes its the uego a wideband. Pictures would be great since I haven't got around to installing it. Gotta get the bung welded in for the sensor
