Carbon Deposits

Has anyone used the product "BG ISC® Induction System Cleaner" Someone had posted how someone dynoed at 15000 miles and then again at 20000 and so on every 5000 miles and they lost hp and torque more and more due to carbon deposits. So i was trying to find out some info on what you guys do or if you have used this stuff. I have used sea foam before but i doubt it cleaned as much as i would like. On BGs website this is what it says about there product
"BG ISC® Induction System Cleaner™ will quickly and safely clean fuel injectors and remove hard, baked-on carbon deposits from intake ports, intake valves and combustion chamber. It is designed to be used with the BG 9210 Inject-A-Flush® Apparatus. For complete cleanup, BG ISC® should be used in conjunction with BG 44K,® Part No. 208, added to the vehicle fuel tank at time of service. BG ISC® will not harm gaskets, seals, hoses or any component in the fuel system if recommended cleaning procedure is followed. Catalytic converter and oxygen sensor safe."

Hi there,

Today at my dealership they told me they stared offering this service for GDI. There are two services. One full flush on rail and one for direct injection.

The product is called BG GDI cleaner. It is 109$ for the service. Will be giving them a call for results guarantee as I scoped mine yesterday and ewwwww nashty.

We use BG products at our shop and I've personally used BG and seafoam and I like BG, the induction system cleaner is great for carbon deposits on valves, typically when we do this service we clean the throttle body, MIST two cans of BG ISC into the intake and keep it off idle to avoid pudding in the intake, and add a can of BG 44k to the gas tank (full) cleans the intake, valves, combustion chamber, fuel rail and injectors.. completely safe to use I've done hundreds.. our customers with gdi engines we recommend doing this ever 40k - 25miles because the valves don't get "washed" with fuel.. prevents drive ability issues down the road
