mpg dropped quite a bit
i want to assume this is a winter thing, although ive never noticed it as bad as i did with this car..
i went from 280 miles to a tank ( all city )
to
217
( roughly, im canadian so from 450 kms to 350 kms to a tank, city )
aside from being winter the only thing different ive done is go catless w/o proper tune yet.
to me, that seems like A LOT. but yes its been FREAKING COLD here. -20 C to -30 C daily. for a solid 2 months now
obv juding by my normal numbers i do get on the pedal quite a bit.. more than i should, but i still stay consistant with my mpg numbers..
can i chalk up my paranoia to just winter blend gas and freezing temps?

Also a car can use like 4L an hour during a cold idle.
Warming up your car for excessive time just wastes fuel. Give it a good couple mins so you're windshield won't freeze as soon as you get in and start driving.
Winter gas, idling and a heavy foot add up pretty quick.

280 miles is my sunmer time avg. city
This car does idle like a champ, 10 min each morning and i dont shut it off when goin inside the coffee shop fast, or convience store. Motherfawkin cold here man
But i will add now, its a combo of winter gas and lead foot. I took it easy past 4 days, 95% of the time keep it under 3k rpm, coasting more etc. Instantly went up to 23-25 mpg in town LOL driver mod ftw. I guess i kinda got outacontrol with my right foot

Bitter weather, and winter blend octane is to blame. My F150 goes from 15mpg avg to 11mpg avg in winter, and my 5spd ecotec Cavalier goes from 31 avg to 27 avg. And that is at temperatures about, -10 at worst.
