Adding armrest to SS

Looking for a quick answer here. Looking at pictures it looks like the armrest would interfere with the use of the handbrake while it is in the down position not to mention put your arm at a funky angle with the shifter. Anyone have any input on comfort level and shifting is worse or better with the armrest installed?

Thinking about picking up one but not sure if it being in the way would just annoy me lol

I know I know..... Search....... However the site doesn't have a lot of traffic lately so it also never hurts to start up conversations for the newbs to read.

you can reach under it to get the parking brake. it takes some getting used to. shifting is fine with it.

im glad I put my armrest in. I can still use my ebrake and shift without having to lift the armrest up.

No problem what so ever, if you think about it is it a problem for basemodel cobalts with it on? Not really and shifting is just fine like it wasn't even there

Basemodels don't have to worry about banging some serious gearage lol

Sounds like an armrest might be worth taking a closer look at since I have my daily autocross even of 70+ miles every day.

Arm rest is all good. Only time I lift it is at the drag strip. It's at a pretty good night for normal day to day shifting.

The only thing I don't like about armrest is in the lnf it's rubs the seat when it's down I always put it up when I'm not driving car cause I don't want it to leave a impression on driver seat

For what it's worth mine doesn't rub at all when down. My seat may busy positioned farther back.

The seat bolsters can be adjusted. You can squeeze them together and the hold shape. I liked mine a little tighter on the sides. This also gives the arm rest some clearance.
