You said it right there. I don't know why everyone wants to see the American companies fail? They didn't with the Cobalt though, this is a great car for the money.

Yeah everyone told me to get a Honda or a Toyota- screw that! Everyone is brainwashed into thinking Asian cars are soo much better.. its not true. I read bad reviews on the Cobalt too, it pissed me off. I mean as you know the Cobalt hasn't been out for very long to really tell how dependable it will end up being, but hopefully it will work out..

RSX-S $34,680.00 NO options. I didnt believe the above post but with all the options available you can actually get a 50,000 RSX-S

So I read up on all the reviews and everyone says RSX hands down..... I go take an rsx for a test drive I LOVED it, soo comfortable and the interior was gorgeous.... but to be honest my last car was an 87 supra turbo so I thought it was kinda slow.......

Anyways I go to a chevy dealership and order a cobalt ss/sc with all the options" yes I mean ALL Of them except for on star and sattelite radio". I take it for a test drive when it finally comes in, all I can say after the test drive all I could do was laugh and feel absolutely cheated and lied to....... BY EVERY REVIEW on the car I ever read that is !!!

OK I seriously would like to know who the **** " excuse my language" is writing these reviews. Yes a 40 year old with a family, and a lot lacking in the crotch department; test drives an rsx type and than a cobalt ss/sc is going to pick an rsx hands down .... Why you ask ?? LUXURY and value.... yet the thing they arent realizing is these cars are aimed at two completely different age groups.

The cobalt ss/sc Handles better, is MUCH faster, and looks way cooler than the rsx. "aside from the fully loaded version of the rsx which retails at 40 grand minimum ! ". Now I have to admit even with the recardo seats its not as comfortable as the rsx..... yet did I buy this car for comfort NO.

I could go on and on about everything I love about this car yet I do not have time for that. All I can say is the cobalt ss/sc is getting underated in EVERY possible way " especially the horsepower rating lol 205 horsepower MY ASS !! ".

Anyways guys Im sorry for my long rant that really didnt go anywhere, I just cant put into words how happy I was with that car after the test drive, and YES I bought it "Black Fully loaded ". I really think gm needs the people from an unbiased website to test drive the cobalts to give them a fair review since they have EVERYTHINg a young person like me could want + more !
Your lucky you put the qualifier of the lacking alot in the crotch department kid. 40 year olds are not what they used to be. I am 38. I have two kids and a wife. I plan on buying a motorcycle soon and race it like I used to do. I love motorsports but when I say that I dont sit on the sidelines. I bought the SS/SC cause I know something about cars. I dont think this car is set up for a certain age but rather a certain type of personality. lucky for us GM took this market seriously and blessed with a capable tuner car. I hang around 18 to 25 year olds at the track and on the street because we share the same love "cars" and other things (yeah we get side tracked sometimes) I am almost 40. but I am not dead. Heck I guess maybe I will get buried in this car. Hope you realize the love for a fast car is not determined by age but in 15 to 20 years you will realize the same thing. Happy motoring and go fast at the track.

Yah i dont think he meant it in an insulting way but more of a stereo type. When i think of people who drive a Cobalt SS/SC i think of kids that are between the ages of 18-25. Just like people stereotype Caddy's for elderly people in their 50's or 60's. But then you have people like me who will have the personality and maturity level of a 20 year old when im 40 lol.

Not entirely acurate.

I believe that those "options" are dealer installed accesories.

So to compare prices accuratley--youd have to price out every single dealer accesory for the S/C Cobalt as well. Granted this price differrentail would still be huge.

I am nit-picking a bit

Well said. I'm glad to see people 10-15 years older then me enjoying this car. It's not about age, it's about attitude. If you love cars it doens't matter what age you are, when you find one you like, you get it. I never want to grow up. I hope when I am married and have kids I am like you and don't lose my love for fun cars. My Dad got married and sold his fun cars (early 70s Roadrunner). I won't let that happen.

the rsx-s is an awsome car.. and a beauty too... but think about it..... the rsx-s can win a race between a cobalt stock... its the best driver wins... now throw a supercharger on that rsx... and u just beat a cobalt.. but getting the rsx and aftermarket s/c mneans bye bye warranty... so the cobalt wins!!!!!!!!!!! best buy for the buck.

lets compare, EVERYTHING CEPT CHROME WHEELS

SS S/C - $30,455
RSX-S - $49,094

WOW I also took into account options that would over lap.

even with the recardo seats its not as comfortable as the rsx..... yet did I buy this car for comfort NO.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA RECARO DUDE. Also the recaro's are less comfortable than the stock ss/sc seats. So if you were looking for comfort you got the wrong seats. Congrats on the purchase. LOL @ RECARDO THE LATIN LOVER OF RACING SEATS
