they took the doors off, windows and all interior, they took off the intake and ran open header. they also put the rear tires as donuts.

I just thought it was funny the way it unfolded is all. We're always very close.

weight reduction if you know what your doing.....but remember this saying. it can be cheap fast and reliable but your only allowed to pick two because those two will not equal the third.

Seriousness to that degree not intended.
The OP wanted to know about anything to make it quicker for free... so I suggested some simple weight mods that cost nothing and take minutes to do. Drive the car, take the tire out, and then drive it again. Try it out. The car will feel and handle differently enough to notice, similar to when it's low on gas. Gas is ~6.25lbs/gal, so 6.25lbs x 13.2 gallons equals 81.5 lbs, and many people can tell a difference then too.
People notice a definate difference when somebody is in the car with them. Say your 120-130lbs gf is in the car with you. Well... 81.5 gal of gas + spare + rear seats + rear seat bar is going to come pretty close to that. It all adds up. You'll notice a difference.
