I DD mine for about 3 years. When the big mods started, I didn't really have a choice but to get another DD since she was out of commission for a few months. It so happened that my daughter’s 2002 Neon died at the same time. Or so I thought lol. Right after we bought her a brand new 2014 Jetta, it turned out all the Neon needed was a $20 part. And since we just bought the wife a brand new car 3 months earlier, I caught the short end of the stick and ended up daily-ing the Neon. One of these days I’m getting something nicer. Either a new 4-cylinder or a used V8.
I enjoy taking “Luci” out only on sunny days, for canyon carving and road track days. Dailying a 75 crank HP 13-year old POS really makes driving the beast special. Plus I avoid speeding tickets this way

Looks like Mater got a sex change. Get it? Mater! Y'know, from Cars? Oh, whatever. Forget you guys!

I switch between my Cobalt and the wife's Matrix XR. I really want to turn my CSS into a garage queen, but I can't justify a car payment at the moment. Maybe some time next year I'll buy a cheap beater to DD and keep the Cobalt garaged.
I'm at about 122,6XX miles. Since April 19th (last time I performed an oil change), I've put 3k miles on the car! It's getting to be too much. I'm afraid I'll be pushing past 145k by the end of the year. That's even with driving the Matrix more often!

Needed an option for DD Cobalt in warm months, other vehicle for cold ones. That's exactly what I do. My Nitro is my winter beast, although a pretty nice one and far from a beater.

Only the first year did I daily it. The last few weeks I actually did too because my DD broke. Just bought a brand new Cruze LTZ RS so the Cobalt is back to sitting in the driveway.

I daily it 140 kms every work day. Will likely need a new motor in 7 years if I keep this up. Add on top of this salty Ontario winters too

same deal, i bought mine with intentions of a quick/fun daily and sell my ford focus. i started driving my focus to work in the winter and saved so much money on gas that i never switched back. now i get to daydream of driving my cobalt while i am driving a POS 120hp car

This is my Cobalt, there are many like it but this one is mine. My Cobalt is not my best friend. I don't want it to be my life. I must master its quirks as I must master the field of mechanics. My Cobalt, without me, is not that useless. Without my Cobalt, I'm on the bus

I DD my Cobalt, since it's more fun to drive than my truck and because I'm too busy spending money for mods on the balt to be able to replace the transmission in my other car.
