Got a new job and the area has emissions test...I have no cat

Got a new job and the area has emissions test...I have no cat

What can I do? :/ I'm almost certain I'll fail the emissions test haha.

Put cat back on get tested and when passed if you must take it back off

Depends if they do a visual test and if you have any CELs.

I would think all of the places will use the mirror on the pole to look under the car, they did it here

Weld in an empty cat. It's probably just a visual inspection as long as u have no cel.

Depends on the state but I have no cat and and still passed an obd2 plug in only emissions test. I was preparred to go the pay the fix-it route but i've passed it twice now.

Take it for the test at a large chain store that is busy.

They don't get paid much to do an emissions test... If the shop is busy they most likely won't check and will just run the test.

Why dick around with a car you're making $20 on, when there's a line up of high paying jobs available...

Based on your location, the test in Illinois is just an OBDII, not visual.

As long as your CEL isn't on, you should be fine...

Try it out it costs like $40 here for a try. If you fail put stock dp on and pass easy.
