Help! Kid throwing a rock at my car
so i take really good car of my car. have done a lot of work to it and had just had the whole side repainted last week due to a previous accident. so on sunday i had spent the better part of over an hour washing my car and was just finishing up when a rock whizzes by my head and dings the back of my car on the quarter panel, leaving a nice dent and a chip. i turned to see two of the kids that live next door run around the back of their house. i could tell where the rock had come from and it was definitely them that threw it. so i start yelling and whatnot. their mom isnt home its just three kids (and 18 year old, a 13 year old and a 9 year old) the 18 year old answers the door and i told him what happened and show him the damage. he says sorry theyve been told before not to throw things. i told him to tell his mother that i will be speaking with her when she gets home. shes finally home last night and i start to explain to her what happened and she cuts me off saying that thats my side of the story and that i have no proof that her kid threw the rock. it plainly came from their backyard and she is completely denying anything happened and is trying to say that shes going to believe her 13 yr old daughter over me, even though i have 2 other witnesses. i just want the damage to be paid for and i know she wont do anything and i dont want to start breaking her **** and start a war. what do you guys think i should do?

^Hahaha, this. When she starts pounding on your door and yelling about a cinder block, tell her that's odd, it must have fallen from the sky because it sure didn't come from your yard. Then shut the door in her face.
Or yeah call the police. That's what you should have done right after you talked to her and she denied it (it might be a little late now). At least then you aren't the ******* neighbor calling the police over the smallest of things, you did give her a chance to own up and she took the low road.

yeah thats the problem with kids...I'd say give him a spanking....bbbuuutttt theirs so many laws protecting them that you can't directly do anything, and the little ******* know it to. Go give another kid on the street $5 to throw rocks at her car and say "boys will be boys eh?" that'll get her attention hehehe

the other thing is that you live next to these people .... if you go to court or w.e and then they get pissed they will most likely retaliate ..slash tires, key car, light dog **** on fire in a bag and throw it on your porch lol
dont want to start a war with the neighbors lol

its also more of the fact that she thinks im making it up or something. it would be one thing for me to come out to a dent on my car i would be like oh **** but i wouldnt blame anyone. that fact that i saw it happen in front of my face just pisses me off even more when she tries to tell me that im lying and making it up and her 13 yr old daughter is telling the truth

Sugar in her gas tank late at night, she definitely won't be able to prove it!!!
I bet she is one of those parents who blames the school when her children screw up
