My friend locked his keys in his trunk yesterday and the key was sticking like halfway out. His car was also open but his trunk release didnt work LOL.
Managed to slide it far enough up to clip the ring though.

Take two screw drivers... (flatheads)

Your going to scratch the inside of your door... if you do it right, its invisible from the exterior.

Start from the top right corner (driver side, top left corner of passanger side), get the screw driver down there and pry... each time you pry, you can get the second screw driver in closer and closer towards the unlock button...

Take a clothes hanger or what ever, and make it straight, then make one bend 1.5 feet (more or less depending on angle) and make a 75 degree-ish angle bend... Then get your pokey stick down there (while prying back on the screwdriver) and press your unlock button.

Thats how i got my keys out.

okay well I locked myself out once and what we did was the cop (or whoever they called) spread the top of the door with a wedge and an airbag(similar to a blood pressure... thing), we got to the trunk button and I climbed in, so just cut out the climbing in part. You only need maybe half an inch of clearance, so you just need a wedge(wood or plastic) and a long rod with a bend at the end (maybe a wire hangar), a buddy to help and of course be gentile on the door.

yeah, I thought you were going for the door lock in yours. It was more of a challenge for us since I have manual everything and we couldn't get a good grip on the lock post or roll the window down at all. Finally I told him to go for the release button.

if you are still locked out, it's time for the sledge hammer.

it's not difficult to snake a wire clothes hanger from the top of the door to unlock it, just don't go too crazy prying at it. if you can't get a good angle then just pull out the hanger and keep bending it till you get it right.....and be patient

...and time for a trunk upgrade... what an excuse to upgrade... and fun too!

"Yeah, I was thinking about this new trunk, so when I locked my keys in it one day, I took a sledge to it and went ahead and got the new trunk"

It did. I had use the combination of a flashlight, broom stick, and shoving my head in between the back seat to get the rear seats down so I could connect the battery

I locked my keys in my car before and called road side assistance and they sent a tow truck out with a kit that had a rubber pry bar, inflatable bag, and a long bar. They use the pry bar to pull the door open just far enough to slide in the inflatable bag. They then inflated the bag to give them a bigger gap and then put the long bar into the car via the gap and hit the unlock button. No damage was done to the car.

Any locksmith will do the same thing. I wish I'd known that roadside assistance was on my car when I locked my key in it while it was in accessory mode. So my stereo was on and the lights came on when it got darker, and I watched them get dimmer and dimmer before the locksmith finally got there 2 hours later, and charged me a $150 for five minutes of work.
