**where Can I Start Building The Beast**
hey guys, just came up on some money and looking into making my balt into a beast. idk i bought the cheap version (street addition) manual. not an SS or SC or even the new TC. but pretty much i want to get my hands on one of the new DOHC ecotec 2.0 TC motors. idk would it be better to start that rout or find an 07 ss/sc block? is sc or tc better? im pretty much at a loss when it comes to adding power that isnt a simple exhaust air intake kinda thing. so any ideas or step by step what i need to get my balt the baddest out there. if it helps any with ideas i have 20G's and looking to spend pretty much all of it

I'm going to save you a lot of money right now.
If you have a budget of $20G, go trade in your base model for a new TC. You will still have a lot of that $20 left over, and you can then spend it on that.
I'm not being mean. Ultimately you will end up spending less money this way and get more for it.

These guys really are giving you great advise. If you came into that much money, then you might as well lose a little bit on your current car by trading it in for the SS/TC. Remember, you're not just getting the engine. You're getting the handling, Brembo brakes, launch control, no-lift shift, better transmission, better interior, etc., etc.

X2 what he said... invest it and save some of it., if you have debt I would pay some of that down. Just get a couple bolt on's for the base.
I invested a lot of money building a house a couple years ago, which came on the heels of flipping over two lots. Now I am looking to put all my equity into a 5 acre lot and sit on that for 3 years. All the while I could just go out and pick up a Z06 etc. Its tempting but I suggest to just drive what you have and bolt some stuff up.

If you're looking for a "beast" I'd say keep your balt for a daily driver and use that 20g to get yourself a (insert awesome muscle car here). you'll probably still have some left over to build it up
