Jet Chip for 2.2 ???
I was looking on ebay and noticed a few auctions for Jet Chips for the 2.2. Has anyone seen this yet?

It's generally accepted that Jet chips are worthless for any car. Most stock forced induction car owners refer to them as blow up your car chips and everyone else just doesn't like them.
I think in reality 99% of the people saying they suck haven't actually tried them. Even if they might work I wouldn't spend almost $300 to find out for sure.

Garbage. Please try a search before making a new thread. There are many other posts on this topic. You can not "chip" this car, or most others for that matter. They are mostly all signal modifiers that change the sensor signals to your ECM, which usually result in overall bad results.

Well I had a jet performance ECU reprogram done for my vibe gt and I was really happy with the results, but with the availability of other tuning sourses for the cobalts, then the jet product may not be worth the advertised price

I'm sure if you would have actually looked at what they changed you would be suprised at how little it is... It's a scam. They might as well just take your stock pcm and throw a jet sticker on it and send it back.

it's not much different for any car they reflash. It's all bs. did you dyno your car before and after the reflash? If you did then I'm sure you would've seen little to no gain.

I guess no one knows exactly what these modules do, thats for sure.
They are no way a scam, little expensive yes, scam no.
If you took a stock vehicle and had it dynoed and flashed for the max performance you could get out of a stock motor with stock tune, plugged in one of these modules, you;d find there wasn't too much difference.
They intercept the input signals given from a few key sensors that determine timing and fuel curves and alter that signal to get max from both. Just like you re-writing the maps. They do it within a very safe limit so not to create problems. 5-10 ponies is no problem with one of these, sometimes more depending on the application.
