Yes. I run a full recaro swap in my cobalt. My car is blue and the seats are blue so I swapped them in. Your going to have to hide the 3rd belt buckle which is in the middle but that's about it.

Apparently I don't have pics of it. The best pic I got is this. You can see the seats somewhat and the center console. They are def inside a cobalt. Best pics I could do at the moment.

So are they rear buckets? or a bench made to look like two buckets?

I had rear buckets and center console swapped into my old 95 GTP... Sometimes I miss that car

Yes. There is fabric spray that is sold anywhere. Different colors and what not. People have done black , red, yellow. Whole bunch others. Mines is just plain old oem blue from a 04 redline

OK, so I've found myself a set for $400 CDN, they are blue though. This fabric spray you speak of, can you direct us to any threads where its been used?
I dyed the first set of rear bucket seats I put in my GTP black (could only find grey) and that turned out very badly for anyone that sat in them, lol, especially if they wore white.

Don't use fabric spray and ruin the recaros... That crap does not last long and will be all over your pants and shirts on hot days. If you want the fabric a different color, have them done professionally and right.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
I've already e-mailed an upholstery shop here in town about getting it done.

You can. Just be warned. It's like spray paint. I for one. Would never ruin recaro seats for something that dumb.

Were these quad bucket seats only available with the blue insert? or did they come in other colors like a grey or black?

I haven't heard back from the upholstery shop yet, I may swing by there tomorrow on my way to work. Even if they want $100 a seat, that would put me into these seats for $800 (Canadian) But part of me wonders if I should just keep looking for a more neutrally colored set, if they are out there.

No buckets but the side seats sit real low. Centre seat barely looks like seat anyway.

you could just get a matching set of 08-10 ss seats lol. all black, black and red, or black and grey. they are really nice and comfortable. easier to maybe find then the recaros.

So I stopped off at the upholstery shop on my way into work today.

To do it right, the only way to change the color of the insert is to take it out and replace it, $350 per seat.
He said there are dyes out there that could be used, but they just end up drying out the material and causing it to crack. He said if the insert was vinyl it could be dyed, but not the cloth.

So I ask again... was the light blue the only color that the Saturn Quad bucket Recaros came in?

I'm bailing on the deal I was after, but, intend to keep my eyes open for something different.
