If you have the old one you should be able to get a giant thin sheet of plywood or something, cut to shape, then carpet nicely over the top. Fold under and staple in place.

That's what I would do.

i agree
1/4" plywood and waterproof carpet both available at home depot or equivalent, it wont weigh anything and if you use a sealer primer on the wood it will be fairly water resistant

Im goind to replace my stock truck mat with plywood or mdf board, make a custom flip up section to allow access to the spare and battery without removing the whole thing. itl make the trunk floor smoother and be able to hold more weight if you need to shove some **** back there lol.

I'm not sure if stock using glue to attach carpet to the stock board. Might be worth a look into.

I have the cotton fabric that covers the spare tire and the cotton that covers the floor if you want to buy it from me. I do not have the carpet or wood piece though.

I'll try some of these ideas. The water got in because everytime it rains or I get a car wash it seems like a lot of water sits in the trunk lid. I open the trunk and a lot of water just falls in. Is this a common problem or is this something I need to look into?

Pull off the side carpet pieces in the trunk and you'll find the drains for the sunroof. One on each side and there's also 2 in the front that are behind the a-pillars

budah, i have a huskyliners trunk mat if you want. shipping would probably be 30 bucks, and i would want 50 for it.

if you want it shoot me your number in a pm and we can work from there

it's just like the one listed below, but i cut out some of the upper facing trim on the left side to it could fit int the trunk with the subwoofer (it wasn't factored into their design lol)
