And if I were to buy a 3.5v led should I calculate the resistor I need on a 12v battery or a 14v charge like the car is running

Kinda wanting to go a different route, especially after seeing the white door controls.

I have a very custom idea for the gauge face, and it will probably not match the rest of the trim but what about going PURE white for HVAC, PRNDL, and steering bezel?

obviously a white LED, but any additional steps in removing that crappy bluish green factory tint from anything?

I did this to my cobalt after reading these forums and its awesome.. but my friend wants me to do the same thing but in green, to her 2001 vw jetta. Now i didnt get a chance to take apart her cluster gauge and everything but does anyone know what size led's would fit in the cluster gauge??

OR do you think it would just be best to just get some 5mm, 3mm, PLCC-2, and 0805 SM LED's just like i did for my cobalt?

How Much is the black cats kit? The website is confusing. Bc if u go under the led lighting kit its the same as going under gauge face. Dose the kit come with the face all for 89?

My info, reset, A/c, rear defrost, and recirculate buttons stopped working on my 2009 Cobalt. All other steering wheel controls work. Checked on forums, google, whatever. Checked all possible fuses. Any ideas?

I just put LED lights in the HVAC and then this happened. Don't think that would've affected anything. Can't figure it out and it's really bothering me!

09XFE, what would you charge to do a dash cluster white and red with a white DIC, and white HVAC? I have white LEDs on the HVAC now, but with the blue film on the actual housing, it looks like a light blue instead of white

Had a bad blower speed switch and 2/4 bulbs burnt out in my hvac controls so I spend $25 on ebay on a whole "new" unit and to my amazement all the bulbs were burnt out on the "new" one. ordered some diffused white 12v led from led switch and went to work, TURNED OUT GREAT.

Bench tested with a 3s Lipo from my rc car (axial wraith spawn)

This was so easy I just might tackle the steering wheel and gauge cluster next!
