I loved my setup before selling it because weight reduction. Lol.
Polk audio MM1040 was perfect, . had to trim the insides of the box for it to fit but after that it was drill new holes and seal! Had it wire. to a 300w alpine amp and le. it bang. Too bad i didnt listen to too much music though, the blower and enxhaust is all i need lol.

I'm having some issues making my amp work. I bought a line out converter and hooked it up to the wires that go to the stock sub but I'm getting no sound! Wondering if the amp is bad, but I've also never had to use a line out converter before either. Ideas?

Instead of doing anything with the stock system ill leave it how it is, but I need to be able to have a signal from the stock headunit. Won't I need an adapter to get a signal to the amplifier? Does anyone know what the name of the adapter would be? Using rca audio cables to a mono amplifier.

I am having power interruption when connecting my wires from my sub to my amp? I have connected my 2 ohm sub to pos and neg on the stock red/black wire connector and then to pos and neg on the amp. It wont work when I bridge it either. I get some sound and then the amp cuts off after several seconds and then powers back up and then repeats. Does the stock connector output a DC voltage? My amp has a protection feature if it senses DC...

The last thing you need to do is make an adapter cable for hooking your stock sub output to the high level input of the amp. Just follow the wiring diagram for the amp and hook the positive and negative for the left and right up to their counterparts on the stock connector you took out of the box. Don't worry about what is left or right, just make sure positive and negative are correct for each pair. I used 16 gauge speaker wire and end to end crimp connectors to make a five foot cable. I put the wires in a flex tube and taped it's entire length with black electrical tape.

Pioneer gps HU powering GM-A6604 amplifier with kicker cvt-10 sub in stock enclosure Trying to take signal from stock wiring to stock sub and use it for signal for kicker, bc low level inputs do nothing for bass.

its not stupid, its just doesnt make sense....
ok so the problem is your amp is a 4 channel which is meant for 4 speakers and your sub is 2 ohm which is meant for a mono amp.
The only way the amp runs stable with that sub is on one channel in which case you get 60w rms which is probably as much if not less than the stock amp/stock sub
also running an LOC at the stock sub means you have a HU powering an amp that would then be converting the signal for the new amp. it works but really you should be running RCA to the HU instead of having the signal go through 3 different things

hmmm, well dam, had to do a little research, so either a monoblock or 2 channel. I think the GM-5500T would be a good match for my kicker. The GM D8601 seems like overkill. Does this seem to match up a bit better? Or is the amp underpowered in this setup as well?
