Oil Pressure Gauge

I recently received an mechanical(with oil line) oil pressure gauge from a friend. been debating and researching hooking it up but im a little stumped. i plan on going straight from the factory oil pressure sensor. (removing factory and running line for new one). is it really this simple or is there more to it im missing? theres like 3 different ways you can hook these up and this seemed to be the easiest. but some say you need a sending unit and others do not... any help would be great. Thanks guys!

also if anyone has a Dual Gauge Pillar theyre trying to get rid of let me know!

we can't even begin to help until/unless we know what you're driving. I found three how-tos in this section for three different engines.
