Sell or part out my 79000 mi f35 (mu3) (g85) 5 sp tranny??

Hello everyone!!! I am as new as they come to this forum and need some advice. I have an 07 cobalt ss/sc and i just replaced the stock original tranny which is a 5sp f35 (mu3) w/ lsd. It has 79000 miles on it and most it has been highway miles. I had problems going into 5th gear and that was it. So to save a headache or two i just splurged and got another tranny and new clutch.. So what is the best way to part with this??? All i know is these are very pricey once rebuilt and are very hard to come by... Should i part it out??? or have it rebuilt then sell it??? I would like to get rid of it but would like to get the most bang for the buck.. Any advice is appreciated... thanks!!!

Anyone need a tranny???? haha

Well i know exactly what kind of hell i went through to find the replacement one so i know really how rare and how expensive these units are... If you want to offer a REASONABLE offer for this by all means if it would help you out or you know someone who can benefit from this either financially or physically ( for there car) etc.. let me know. I am honest and not shady in anyway and i would expect the same in return.. (one can only hope)..

u wont get as much for it since it needs to be rebuilt or wutever and it has a a little higher miles not bad tho..so id take the first reasonable offer that comes along..id say anywher from 4-6 shipped depending on location...shipped my trans from washington to michigan along with an lsd and it was $90 for shipping costs to give u an idea for shipping

Okay that's what i was thinkin for the backup idea but honestly mine is bone stock and i have had no issues with anything other than recalls. Well im very familiar with these vehicles it's just im a freakin newbie here so.... I am in southern california and by the way if a shop replaces the exact tranny and does a tranny swap doesn't the lsd stay with the trans or do they swap it from one to the other?

well if you would like it make me an offer but not a lowball one please based on your location and i would be happy to accomodate you if you can use it. and believe every dollar counts for me since i spent a pretty penny on this tranny and clutch replacement. As far as an entire rebuild i just know that it needs a set of 5th syncros but other than that this thing is solid.... still.

well at the moment i dont have money. Im in the process of rebuild my engine after it blew. I am interested tho! If my build comes out cheaper than expected i will get ahold of you. But dont hesistate to sell it somebody else.

PS, not sure if you posted pics or not (i cant see them on my work computer) but if you are legitimately trying to sell it, i suggest posting a For Sale thread in the Classifieds section and be sure to follow all the rules!
