Drew, we have to get this fixed for you.

Who has a heated garage?? Mine is cold, but I am willing to help with this. We can teach you a few things about your car and what to look for.

Hmmm, maybe I can get a heater for my garage and be able to work on the old car this way too.

Oh, and for the squeaks, just turn up the radio more!!!!!

Dirty, are you showing your age???

Drew, just let me know once your finals are over. We can take a look at it and see what you need. If you are going to buy pads locally, I would not get Autozones (unless the top of the line ones). NAPA has better quality from what I have noticed.

Dirty isn't that old. Actually, FF3/6 for the SNES is win. Or Shining Force II for Genesis.

And @Drew; if you ask nicely, Dirty might let us borrow his heated garage/tools.

You guys are going to love this.

For the record
-my mom backed into my SS last week, doing ~$460 in damage to the passenger side.
-The car was in at least 2 accidents prior to when I bought it, the rear axle was bent (I replaced it), and the passenger rear quarter panel needs work, ~$490 in damages to be repaired.
-I also forgot to mention the hood and front bumper that were also damaged when the previous owner rear ended a truck, another ~$510 in damages.

I bought the car anticipating having to pay to have the passenger rear quarter panel and hood/front bumper fixed, but not the passenger door and not what happened last night...

So last night I was playing DD for my girlfriend's sister's 21st birthday. I insisted on driving my car, but my girlfriend made me drive her sister's Fusion instead. I left my car at my girlfriend's house and it got backed into by her dad's company's box truck, punching a hole through the rear bumper and bottom lip with the hitch. ****. This. Car. I don't even have money to buy books for next semester, let alone get this stuff fixed.

I sold my GTP so that I could have a car that wasn't dented, scratched and rusty. Looks like I was destined to anyhow. It's embarrassing to drive a car that looks like ****, it makes me hate this car more and more every day.

/rant

Sorry for bitching up the thread, but I had to get that out.

Pics:

door, it' all scratched up as well, but it's so dirty you can't tell:

Wow, that sucks. Some serious back luck there. You shouldn't be paying to fix any of that. None of it was your fault.

Yeah dude, why are you paying for this? Insurance FTW bro'. Their insurance should be paying for it. G/F's parents or not, they're not making the payments on your car; you are. It's their responsibility to own up to their mistakes. Eff that ****, I'd be throwing bitches under the bus left and right.

On an unrelated note, I've decided against HHR SS wheels folks. I want to try and fit 235's on the car, and the HHR SS wheels just won't do the job efficiently.

My new choice?

18x8. Should nicely fit some 235 40r18 RE11s

are the RE-11's REALLY worth the extra money over the NT-05s or Star Specs? Cuz they're really expensive. I don't think I'd want to spend $1000 on tires.

RE11s are the best dry/wet performance street tire available on the market today.
BFG's Geforce's pull a 1G turn? big deal, I've pulled a 1.18g turn, with a sloppy setup that hadn't had an alignment in 2 seasons of autoX, lol.

You either want the best and are willing to pay for it or your not.

And seeing as how he'll be racing it next year, along-side me with 225/45R17 RE11s on my subie and 255/35R18s on my Evo, he's gonna need the best.

Well, no one is making payments on the car, I paid for it in full when I bought it. That's beside the point though. I completely agree that I should be turning this stuff in to insurance but my dad won't let me, he doesn't want the rates to go up. At this point I don't even care how it gets fixed though. I just want to get the car fixed and sell it, there's just too many things wrong with it and every time I fix something, 3 more things get break/get messed up. I'm done with it.

I don't think your insurance rates will increase if there was no driver in the car when the accident occured (parked/standstill) I would talk to an insurance agent about it.

And Tom, trust Dirty. He designs tires for a living. =P

For Progressive, If they pay out anything to fix the car, the rates go up, whether I was actually involved in the accident or not. Sucks.

yeah thats insurance. If you've made a claim, you're statistically more likely to file another claim and therefore a higher risk.

The riskier you are, the higher the rates.

Then why not talk to your G/F's parents about THEM paying for it? Explain the situation. At least get THAT fixed on their dollar lol

They understand the situation, but they can't afford to fix it, at least not right now. That still doesn't fix the rest of the car though either. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do.
