Well the SS is officially sold... dropped it off Saturday and picked up a '00 BMW 328i. Ground Control coilovers, Eibach sway bars, AFE intake, fenders & quarters rolled for clearance, s/s brake lines, and a few other things. No major plans for it (it's amazing to drive as it sits) just some staggered 18"s and a splash of carbon fiber. I'll take some pictures of it tomorrow after I attempt to plasti-dip the factory 17"s (figured why not since I'm going with 18"s anyways lol) and put a roof rack on it.

Also... If anyone wants a free STP oil filter for the lsj, I have one that I never got around to using. And since the car went to a dealership, I definitely didn't give them any free stuff. So yea, just PM me or text me if anyone wants it.

I constantly feel like I'm the only person in this thread... Anyways this is what replaced the cobalt. '00 328i with ground control coilovers, eibach sway bars, rolled fenders & quarters, afe intake, shark tuned, m3 lip spoiler on the trunk, and (as you can see) heavily tinted. Pretty much no plans for it other than some staggered 18"s and some new headlights. The difference in handling between this thing and my SS is night & day. Although in the SS's defense, it would have walked away from this bmw in a straight line.

i think alot are military so people come and go with PCS but i am a Hampton native, I come home every once in awhile stationed in NC but deployed to Afghanistan currently. I have a built L61 if you have any question i may be able to help.

& random question Those of you that have VA registration, what tint do you have on your Cobalts?

I think everywhere is about the same. 35%.. Got to take into account factory tint. I can't remember if the cobalt has that or not. I live up in VB but have all my cars registered in NC where I'm from. Funny, I am a defense contractor and your military. I think most of the people modding cars in hampton roads are one or the other lol

Yea I'm in afghan right now returning soon and modding my 2.2L now should I just buy a block from the junkyard and rebuilt it and do the mods to that on the stand and then drop it in when it's all complete or do it on the current engine in there bit by bit

Well that absolutely does not narrow down anything lol. You need to come up with an actual number.. A couple thousand, like, 2 thousand? You might be able to do a full s/c swap. You cannot go turbo for that. You can port your head and put some goodies in there from zzp or ottp.

Well I have a holset turbo just need to get the parts that go with it to make a full kit and yea two makes a couple so just wanna max out the amount of hp outta 2grand

anyone still around on this thing? just lookin to see if there is.. i see a couple of cobalts on the Oceana base, one red one with the TC wheels but is supercharged. i saw one on Norfolk base, yellow, didnt get that close to it.
