Cobalt Mishimoto Aluminum radiator brought to you by Modern Performance! Sneak peak!

Its 2012, and the Cobalt has been out now for nearly 7 years, we still dont have a aftermarket radiator option for the Chevrolet Cobalt.

So we worked with Mishimoto and helped put a Cobalt radiator in production. Here are some quick photos of the first production sample.

Note:
-All aluminum construction for best heat dissipation.
-OEM fitment, works with stock AC condensor and fans.
-Fits 05-10 Cobalts.
-Magnetic drain plug to keep debris out of the coolant.

These will be available shortly, stay tuned guys!

yup, I posted these photos in the General Cobalt section up top. They said it would be about 3 months, July is the 3rd month since test fitment. Any idea on the pricing? And whether they will be making some other cobalt parts? IC kit, Silicone radiator hoses, Heat exchangers, Oversized radiators?

Looks like the MSRP of most of their aluminum radiators are between 3-400 dollars.

I've been eagerly waiting for this. I spoke to Cory earlier in July about these and I'm wicked excited to lay my hands on one!

Too bad I just had to buy ANOTHER plastic one since I cracked mine a few months ago. The aluminum one will have to wait a bit until I get more funds but I am buying it 100%

Well its August, Its almost been a year since they decided they were going to go into producing radiators for the cobalt. I brought my car to the DE shop back in November last year. I got test fitted in April with the prototype. They said they were coming out in 3 months at the latest, hopefully sooner than that. July was the 3rd month. Are they going to be available within the next week?

Still want to know the advantages of this? With my stock radiator in the summer my coolant temps stay in the 170's so I don't really see a reason to replace the stock one.

No plastic to crack.
All aluminum with better core's from mishimoto creates faster dropping more consistent temps.
Looks way better.
Must have because RACECAR.

I'm sorry but Mishimoto is not a company of quality. They are known for their products being hit or miss. You might get a good one, you might get one that cracks and leaks. My buddy has a Mishimoto which he still uses but he has patched it up several times with JB weld. He could have had it warrantied but that means sending it back to Japan. He has fixed it and its been good to go since but I've heard of way to many people getting leaks with their radiators. Koyo is light years ahead of Mishimoto and other shops like Performance AutoWerks offer radiators that cost more but are of much higher quality.

I'm just trying to save you guys money.

How are you getting yours to stay in the 170's? I am always between 190 and 200? Do you run water and icy cool? Stock thermostat?

we surrently offer a solstice version but no cobalt version yet.. there hasent been a strong interest in producing one. maybe if theres more spiked interest we might.

I would buy one from you guys. I have your full exhaust and just ordered your inter cooler just waiting for it to come in which should be today. You guys seem to make quality parts so I wouldn't have any doubt.

Just got it in and it looks very sturdy and pretty

Pretty pointless IMO. It's a radiator. I don't think anyone has overheating issues. But I'd consider purchase if somehow I broke my stock one. Should have made it a cheaper griffen.
