Yeah I know but I'd run more with meth.

I've heard 1psi is about 10hp.

30lbs ftw. The tq spike makes dyno graphs look like the recent oil price charts.

I laugh at lack of knowledge about nitrous here. It's the uninformed people who blow up parts on nitrous or the engine simply wasn't designed to hold the power/instant torque that the bottle can provide. Give the average cobalt owner a nitrous kit and there is a good chance that something will fail...simply because they don't understand even how the car runs or tuning and yet they are playing with the bottle. Everyone loves boost because it's simple...nitrous can be as fast if not faster.

I've used up a bottle or two in my life

With that being said would I use nitrous on my ss/tc? No, simply based on the fact that stock turbo ss/tc's can make 400ish wtq without nitrous. A 50hp jetting would probably put those torque numbers in the mid to upper 400's which is beyond what the engine and trans can handle in my opinion.

Well I've been talking to a few people, I think I'm am gonna do an e-blend. With some more boost. Should still get me the power I want but be safer since I'm a N2O noob.

Now I just need re-tuned.

why does everyone think nitrous is bad? its idiots who dont know anything about it or claim to have seen more failed uses then succcessful uses of it that say its stupid and will blow **** up. if you install it right, wire up your proper safety switches, you will 0 issues. hell there are stock turbo cars that blow up as well as turbo swapped cars that still blows the **** up. anything you do to your car can have the potential to destroy it, not just nitrous. stop watchin fast and furious and do some research on it

I throw a 75shot on my car this weekend(went to run some faster cars from a different town)

Just to show the difference if any1 cared.

Ran a 06 STi making 340whp/400+wtq @21PSI

1st 40 Roll went door to door
2nd 40 Roll i sprayed in the middle of 3rd and put 2 cars on him.

Its safe if set up right. Im on a colder plug and running a good mix of 93/110 octane. Not being stupid with it and only used it 4x since its been on the car. Incase any1 else wanted to try this i used a dry kit....b4 the MAF directly toward it...Froze it.....adjusted it so it sprayed more on the outside so it was hitting right on it and the car has had zero issues......btw some of these responses on this thread show the lack of knowledge that ppl have and speak when the clearly have no real input into such topics.

It's the small turbo paired with the sudden tq spike of the nitrous. Making the same power on a bigger turbo wouldn't spin in the lower rpm's of third. Though spinning through third on a big turbo isn't hard either.

The uninformed people who are afraid of doing something that very few others will do are the ones whom say "N" is bad. They'er afraid of the word itself. Just get it tuned in right by someone who knows what their doing and I wouldn't see why it would hurt so long you don't exceed your motor/tranny abilities.

As a matter of fact, some people will tell you a METH kit is unproven to add H.P. Don't listen to simpletons who haven't even looked into the stuff more than a Google search. Ask a pro who uses it or something.

NEED FIRSTHAND KNOWLEDGE!!!!

If you had Lswonder car then i would say spray the **** out it. My 01 fbody has 150shot on it with 105k on the motor. Guys have run over 200+ with these cars.

But since you have a balt I wouldnt do it. Already popped my motor once and i didnt have any giggle juice on it. Plus it gets expensive when refueling.

the only safe way to run nitrous on a tc is to use a halo system on the intercooler and thats even kinda stupid cuz you could use Co2 instead and get the same results for cheaper...all it does is cool the air before it enters the motor...if you use nitrous as an actual injection in your intake you will cook your turbo

Nothing wrong with n2o...it is just as safe as any other power adder when done right and all supporting stuff is done.
