your girl will be more upset when u spend $600-1000 on a nitrous kit and then blow the engine and spend $2500+ to replace it.

no prob. I'm just proving a point. It's not about owning something the powerful that happens to be fwd.

u misunderstood. That says nothing about beefing up the motor. Everything says as long as I have all those components, which I already knew, I can run it safely without Blowing my motor. I see nothing about forged pistons ect w.e else i need. Those are what i buy for the Nitrous but does my Motor need anything to run Safely. TO that thread no. I am safe running nitrous

Well the only reason i repeated myself is cause everyone is saying im going to POP my motor. But in reality i should be fine. So again my stock motor can handle a 50-75 shot of nitrous.

Thats also why i asked what do i need to run it safely. Those are components i NEED. So why's everyone on this blowing up ur engine bandwagon.

ideally, you could "pop" your motor if it were forged from the bottom-up just by being a lousy driver. It's all about how much you abuse your car.

Will this car take some abuse on Nitrous compared to a 2.2 cobalt? Yes. But not anymore abuse than your average forced inducted motor. Just don't over-do it and you'll be fine.

In any case, my motto is that if you're not 100% sure about something, don't do it. Cause you're not going to like the outcome either way.

On a 75 shot with all the safety features and a tune you will be fine. Ask Blazin or ItalianJoe. I would bet all the people saying it WILL pop don't have much exp with it. Just don't get too greedy with it.

i don't race it much/abuse. I WOT maybe 2-3x a week max. Also considering I drive 50+ miles a day to and from work thats not that bad. Plus i don't just drive it around to race it or beat on it. 95k miles still running strong as hell.

well heres a question is there a way to see if something is going wrong will WOT and nitrous shot. Like an interceptor shows KR and a UEGO for AFR. There any gauges do tell if the cars being pushed to hard or on how the tune is made would make it limited. If thats confusing sorry.

Interceptor reads WAAAYY more than just knock. Although knock is a clear indicator when something is wrong...honestly homie, I would really do a lot more research cause there's a ton of threads about guages and nitrous that are around. Just be patient and take your time.

I have way more mods than you and have fine traction through 1st 2nd and 3rd. You barely have parts on but say you cant hit it until you get traction in 3rd. How do you not have traction?

You still have plenty of parts to go before you can even keep up with a srt4 that slightly modded or a evo for that matter. Get some bigger injectors and drop a pulley size or two and get the rest of your bolt ons on. Then see if you feel you need a shot of nitrous and slap a 50 shot or so on it. Would personally not slap on nitrous with that many miles on it. Have 53k myself and adding meth to it this week.

Friend has a srt 4 with a intake exhaust dump and a diablo tune on it and ran 13.1@110 and thats barely modded yet.

*Sneaky Kills*
That's my old SC/N20 set-up. I just needed a cover for the solenoids and put the injector cover back on. Normal person wouldn't notice the kit.

I was thinking those were solenoids in the background...either that or someone was using their engine bay as a storage unit for old batteries...
