I was just wondering what everyone thought of the idea of me showing up at CED with one of these colors for wheels? I like them all personally and can't decide which ones I would buy if I did buy them. My car is silver so when you click the links, if it isn't showing the car in silver, please change it in the drop-down.
O.Z. Alleggerita HLT BLUE
O.Z. Alleggerita HLT BRONZE
O.Z. Alleggerita HLT ORANGE
O.Z. Alleggerita HLT RED
I think my first choice would be orange to be honest. What do you think though? Should I pull the trigger and get something like one of these? I am not going to buy until it gets close to CED time because I want to make sure I'm going first. I would drive them all summer long every summer after that, but I would want to introduce them to CED and that's why I would wait to buy them until close to that time. Another thing is to paint my stock mirror covers (the black ones that came with my car) to match the wheels. Then I have my silver ones (which are on now) and the stock black ones turned whatever color.
I have a few things up my sleeve come CED time if I'm going (which all comes back to whether I'm working yet or not).
Here's what I'm talking about! YEAH

I'm not going to, it's just dreaming...but it would be fun. I actually found some Konig Daylite's that are about $550 for wheels alone. So it would be under $1000 for wheels/tires. I won't be doing it though, don't worry.
The only thing I'm doing is pulling my suspension apart in a month or so so I can put the FE5 front sway in and check out my endlinks, struts, etc. again. I'm wondering if it's an issue between the FE1 sway and the shorter Moog endlinks (10" which are FE5 replacement). Maybe that's part of the source of my clunking and stuff and with the FE1 bar that has bushings that are probably shot...could that be?
Bart, just curious, which ones did you get?

I should also mention since I got the job I interviewed for, money shouldn't be too bad. It's not as good as what I was making at Culligan, but not having 401k or benefits, my checks will be decent (even though taxed more without the pre-tax deductions)...anyway...it's hopefully just temporary until I find something better, but I think it should definitely be a fun job.
The problem is no vacation for 6 months and I work Tues through Sat....so I am pretty sure that I will NOT be going to CED now. I am going to just ask them Monday when I fill out my paperwork to start about possibly getting Friday and Saturday off, but I am not going to fight for it if they say no. I would be willing to be off with no pay of course if they are willing to do it.
I'm just hoping that we can have some kind of get together around the cities sometime that I can make because it would be cool to hang out with a bunch of you. I still think bowling at Mermaid or somewhere else would be a lot of fun.
