I was going to say if you want to drive out to Clarence I'd do it too, super simple.

I'm all set. Did it yesterday. Borrowed a jack and bought the 32mm gm makes for the ecotech. Fit like a glove. I knew it was simple just lack of resources to do it.

Anyone local that does tunes? Heard of new era or something like that in Rochester. Want a very minimal one. Like say 18psi instead of 15psi and to be able to take advantage of the cai I have. Don't want to put to much on the turbo since it's my dd and want it to last awhile ish, so I figured 18 would be reasonable. Looking to just make say 300 to the crank not wheels. Just want a little extra lol

What are all the mods you have? The difference between 18 and 21 isn't much especially if you aren't beating the **** out of it. You could always go GMS1. I sold my HPtuners or I'd hook you up...

What brand? And you are on a stock tune with an intake?

One of those "tuned" injens. Sp7029 I believe. But yea I'm on the stock tune. Already know about learn down and not getting extra power with the cai. It does sound awesome when shifting gears tho. I bought the car with the injen already on it.

I'm surprised you don't get a CEL with an intake and no tune. From what I've always understood an intake with throw off your fuel trims and cause a CEL. I've never had problems with the GMS1 tune. I don't know many people who have. All you need is the 3 bar MAPs and a flash and you are good to go.

Never had a cel from it and the previous owner said the same. I know the fuel trims are off but had other members on here saying that it won't cause problems to the engine besides running rich.

I guess this certain injen is a new style they made or something along those lines that doesn't throw cel. I noticed the tube does get thinner were the maf is, so maybe it tricks it?

Could be...restricts air flow around the MAF so it doesn't detect "extra" air...? Hmmm, seems like it might work, but seems like you'd be losing the point of the intake if you did that

Hahn is a no go. Thing is made of like iron and weighs 30 pounds. Your best bet is the SRI from K&N. ZZP has them.

I really think I'm going to end up getting the typhoon. Off topic but, today I just took a ride to the store and I couldn't really get up to 0psi unless I pressed the pedal harder. I could get boost when in wot up to 15psi. Is this due to being 30 degrees out? On a normal day the amount I was pressing on the gas pedal would bring me to 0psi but today it was only -5ish. Idk if this is making any sense but I'm assuming it's because the air is more dense?

Wnyers that live in the south towns. Stay safe and warm! Can't see my car at all. This is the first year my car has seen snow. Last owner garaged it for the past 5 winters. She's mad at me :/

So how much snow is too much on a car. I won't have any suspension problems or anything right? :/ never thought I would have my car completely buried to the point where it's jus gone. Just started snowing again. Calling for 2-3 feet ontop of the 5ft or so we have here.
